Seedball Cornflower Tin

Description

Created by conservation scientists and 100% British made, Seedball is a unique innovation to help more people grow bee and butterfly-friendly wildflowers. Manufactured in-house using a mixture of UK-native seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder to create a protective casing against seed predators (e.g. birds and ants). They’re incredibly easy to use - scatter (no digging!) on top of soil, and with rain and warm sun the seeds will grow.

This tin contains brilliantly blue British cornflowers. These iconic and distinctive flowers are fantastic for bees, beetles, butterflies and moths, and are a simply marvellous addition to any wildlife garden. They are also edible with a cucumber-like taste, and can be used in salads, as a garnish or infused as a tea!

Each ball contains on average 8 seeds, and each tin will provide coverage for 1 square metre in a garden, or 3-5 medium sized pots.

Throw onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter in Spring or Autumn, leaving at least 10cm between each ball. Your Seedball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate!
