Father’s Day 2021 is Sunday 20th June
So, it's time to get your thinking cap on for the perfect Father's Day present! But don't worry - we won't let you do this alone - we’ve recently spent a bit of time putting together a collection of some of our favourite gifts for fab fathers that are sure to show them just how much you care. And we’re ready to offer up some further inspiration here, whether you're shopping for your Dad, your Children's Dad, a Grandfather or an any amazing father figure, then look no further!
Our first tip is simple - think about what they like. If they have a favourite sport or hobby then it may seem obvious, but that's a very good place to start. Showing him that you take an interest in his interests can make even the smallest gift, much more thoughtful. With that in mind, this “happiness is” range is ideal as it includes lots of popular pastime designs on mugs, coasters and egg cups. Like this Happiness is Riding a Bike Coaster perfectly suited to keen cyclists:
There's also an I love to be by the sea mug – which we know is true for many of us. So thankfully we also have a broad selection of nautical and coastal influenced giftware - much of which makes excellent gifts for sea faring fathers! We recently topped up our Archipelago Hand Carved birds for the season and spoke about what popular presents these are for men - which means we're sure one would make a great father's day gift too. The oystercatcher would definitely be our top pick:
If Scottish coastal living and outdoor adventures are something that interests your father then what about one of our collection of scottish books, like this astonishing story about giving up a hectic, modern lifesyle for life on a remote scottish island - Between Earth and Paradise is the story of journalist Mike Tomkies and the joys and challenges of living remotely. It's a fantstic book which we're sure would be a well received gift:
And if the great outdoors is where your dad loves to be, then what about something from the Gentlemen's Hardware range? Perfectly suited to adventurous and outdoorsy types, the collection includes multi -tools for every eventuality and even this clever little survival kit in a tin - perfect to accompany your dad on his next adventure:Rupert Blamire Ceramics might be the answer. Each piece of this hand thrown pottery is truly unique – and designed with foodies in mind. It comes beautifully gift boxed, so it is easy to post and easy to wrap too. The collection includes lovely little salt igloos and garlic pots, dressing jugs and drizzlers as well as mugs and even these whisky jug and tumbler sets:
On that note, another sure fired Father’s Day gift solution is knowing their favourite tipple. So, whether your Dad is a pint drinker, enjoys a nip of whisky, or is happy with a good cuppa, we’ve got some fantastic mugs, glasses and glassware available that would make a considerate gift, perhaps even alongside a box or bottle of his favourite? This Seas the Day Pint Tankard would be perfect accompanied by some nice craft ales!
Lastly, but definitely not least - if you feel like your Dad simply deserves some pampering, then we can highly recommend the Lochranza collection by Arran Aromatics. Lochranza is a warm fragrance with a woody base of patchouli and vetiver, enhanced with lemon and grapefruit. It's earthy and enigmatic and every item comes beautifully packaged making it perfect for gifting and a real treat. Like this Lochranza triple milled soap with added oatmeal:
