COVID-19

At a time when in-person gatherings and meetings are nearly impossible, it feels all the more important that we provide a means of connection, remembrance, and sharing.  At The Square Peg we are committed to doing what we can to continue to deliver that experience - while considering the well-being of all staff, customers and the wider community.

Over the course of the last week or so, we have been slowly shutting down on Colchester Square.  The gift shops had their last day of trading on Saturday 21^st March and The Sandwich Bar closed its doors on Monday 24^th.  All the fabulous staff are now furloughed and waiting for the moment they can return to The Peg.  As of today, 26^th March, government advice is that online retail can continue.

At the moment, that means it’s just me (Jilly) working in isolation to take your orders and pack them up so please forgive any slight delays or disruptions. 

I have the exceptional support of our local Royal Mail depot, where they continue to keep the country together, operating ‘no contact’ delivery procedures.

As I am in the shop packing anyway, I am available to take your phone orders between 10am and 3pm from Monday to Saturday, and will process your orders as quickly as possible.
